Hospice
For Professional and Compassionate Care
24 Hours a Day.
Hospice care is specialized palliative care related to a terminal illness and recommended for patients when it becomes clear that comfort rather than cure is the primary focus. A whole team of professionals work hand in hand to maximize the patient’s comfort and quality of life, so it is better for the patient to enroll in hospice care as early as possible.
It allows the patient to remain in the home, surrounded by loving family and friends, for the duration, with emotional and spiritual support provided for everyone affected by end-of-life issues (death and dying). The patient and family are made aware of what to expect during this time which helps to lessen the grief and shock of death.
After the patient transitions, bereavement support and counseling are available for up to one year as after care.
Anyone (self, family, pastor, friend) may make a referral; however, a physician or certified nurse practitioner must order hospice care services. You have the legal right to choose your hospice care provider. Click Here to contact us for more information.
